Phytosanitary Certificates for France

6 September 2011

For your information, MAFBNZ has been advised through commercial trade channels that the French Government intends to stop accepting electronic signatures after the 15th September 2011 (USA and Australia were also informed of an identical proposed change).

MAFBNZ is in contact with the French NPPO to challenge this requirement and we will keep you informed of the outcome as and when we know it.

However, it may not be possible to get a change before the 15th September so please bear in mind that until the issue with wet signatutres on phytosanitary certificates going to France is resolved, there may be a change in this requirement.

For any further information about this update, please contact our Quality & Technical Manager, David Baker on 0800 021 169 or david.baker@ivsltd.co.nz

Changeover Transition to new ePhyto System

7 September 2011

Important Notice: Further to the recent communication issued by MAFBNZ, please remember that all new certificates will have to be submitted on the new system by close of business September 7th.  If you have not yet registered to use the new system, please get in touch with us on 0800 021 169 or david.baker@ivsltd.co.nz

Alternatively, you may wish to contact MAFBNZ directly at plantexports@maf.govt.nz

    Key points from the update received by MAFBNZ;

  •       In previous communications, we indicated that the deadline for transitioning to the new ePhyto system was 31st August 2011. This is to inform you that we have reviewed and extended the timeline for removing access to the old Phyto E-cert system as follows:
  1. We will extend the deadline for transitioning to the new system to 7th September 2011.  The latest users will be able to submit new certificate requests in the old system will be the 7th September 2011
  2. We will have a number of users/organisation who have requested a further extension which we have given until 14 September 2011. These are Prodoc users due to the fact that their system adjustment is not completed as yet.
  3. We expect all certificates to be approved and printed or to have reached a final state other than approved prior to 23rd Septmber 2011. We will physically remove all access to Phyto E-cert by 24th September 2011.
  4. Unfortunately we cannot physically remove submission access for users without removing printing access at the same time. This means that following 7th September 2011, we would like to ask you to decline any certificate requests coming through the old system and inform the users (excluding Prodoc users) to submit in the new ePhyto system.
