Important Notice for Treatment Providers

JUNE 2011 ~ IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR TREATMENT PROVIDERS ~ MAFBNZ have just announced some new general fumigation requirements, with the changes coming into effect on the 18th of July.  MAFBNZ have also advised that your systems will need updating to account for the changes, but have said organisations can have three months to do this.

Below is a link to the update which sees several improvements to treatment methodology that were discussed at the meeting in December 2010 between PMANZ and MAF to improve fumigation outputs through, in some cases, alignment with the Australian fumigation methodology.

Requirements apply equally to fumigations of imports and exports unless otherwise stated. The Forest Product Export Committee has also been informed of the changes.
