The requirements for transporting dangerous goods are different according to the mode of transport. Our courses cover the transport of Dangerous Goods by air, which is of particular relevance to airlines, handling agents, freight forwarders and shippers, among others.

IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) - Initial Training, Category 6

This IATA Initial Dangerous Goods course will improve your awareness of the legal requirements, operational restrictions, packaging instructions, marking, labeling and documentation regulations related to the transport of dangerous goods by air. Gain the skills to accept, handle and process shipments containing dangerous goods according to the current edition of the mandatory IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations manual 2017, 58th Edition.

This course is designed for persons involved in Air Cargo processing and handling of Dangerous Goods who either have no prior DGR training or who have not updated their training during the past 24 months. This course fulfils ICAO and IATA training requirements and qualifies you to handle and process dangerous goods for carriage by air for a 24-month period.

An IATA Certificate of Completion is awarded to participants obtaining a grade of 80% or higher on all exercises and exams. A special distinction is awarded to participants obtaining a grade of 90% or higher.

Duration: 5 days (4.5 days classroom tuition, 0.5 days in-house exam)

IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) - Recurrent Training, Category 6

Revalidate your 24-month IATA DGR requirement with the latest IATA amendments and directives.

It is mandatory to undergo recurrent DGR training every 24 months on the latest regulations and trends related to the carriage of dangerous goods. This refresher course provides awareness of the current legal requirements, operational restrictions, packaging instructions, marking, labelling and documentation regulation for dangerous goods, all in accordance with the current edition of IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations manual 2017, 58th Edition.

An IATA Certificate of Completion is awarded to participants obtaining a grade of 80% or higher on all exercises and exams. A special distinction is awarded to participants obtaining a grade of 90% or higher.

Duration: 3 days (2.5 days classroom tuition, plus 0.5 days for the exam)
