Trainer - Forklift, Dangerous Goods and/or Wheels, Tracks and Rollers

We currently have a position available for either a full time employee or contractor/s to join our team to deliver Forklift, Dangerous Goods and Wheels, Tracks and Rollers training. The role is based at our sites in Airport Oaks and Otahuhu, however as we offer onsite training to our customers some travel will be required.

To be successful in this role you will ideally:

  • Have appropriate industry experience
  • Have the appropriate qualifications to deliver the training
  • An ability to engage with learners from diverse backgrounds
  • Good comprehension of sector regulations
  • Be a team player, yet able to work autonomously
  • Be well organised, flexible and use your initiative
  • Have a full drivers license

Our training is offered Monday to Saturday, so the hours of work differ and are 7.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday and Tuesday to Saturday.

About this Position:

This is a newly created role as a result of company growth. Whilst previous experience in checking certification and shipping documentation would be a huge plus, we are prepared to train the right person from scratch to a high standard. Our preferred candidate will have excellent written and communication skills, love proofreading and an eagle eye for detail. This position is based in Hamilton.

 Core Duties:

  • Full training will be provided on all aspects of this position, which includes;
  • Verification of Import/Export Documentation including; Phytosanitary and Certificate of Origin Verification 
  • Customer Service by phone and email
  • General Administration Support 

Skills and Attributes:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification is desirable but not essential

Lead Auditor - Forestry & Timber Treatment

About this Position:

An opportunity has arisen for a lead auditor to join this established organisation, reporting to the Operations Manager. The successful candidate will provide leadership to the audit and inspection team and delivery of verification services to IVS forestry and treatment clients, for the purpose of export/import and domestic market certification.

There are 4 direct reports plus approximately 10 additional contractors who will report to this role. The role is based in Hamilton but can be undertaken remotely, with some visits to the company’s Hamilton office to be included. Some intermittent nationwide travel will be required and a pool car/transport will be available.

Core Duties:

  • Provide leadership and support to team
  • Delivery of Evaluation & Systems Audits
  • Forestry and treatment audits
  • Surveillance audits, investigations and tracebacks
  • Competency assessments
  • Certification team support, administration & cost recovery
  • Report writing and assist to maintain online systems & SOPs

Skills and Attributes:

  • Tertiary Qualification - essential
  • Lead Auditor qualification
  • Minimum of 5 years audit experience and / or compliance

Program Coordinator - Multi Transitional Facility (MTF)

About this Position:

The role involves booking, scheduling, customer contact, database updates and client follow up for the container clearance service. You will become a product champion in this particular area, but will be required to provide backup cover to the other services.

Core Duties:

  • Coordinate a container inspection service
  • Assist with cover of the Biosecurity & Vehicle Inspection program
  • Day to day liaising with customers via phone and email
  • Taking enquiries and booking of container clearances
  • Liaising with inspection staff to co-ordinate delivery of the service
  • All administrative requirements for the co-ordination of the service
  • Responsible for generating new and repeat business through active follow-up of existing clients and following up with new enquiries

Skills and Attributes:

  • Transitional facility / Biosecurity knowledge (highly desirable)
  • Able to manage time efficiently and identify priorities
  • Technical aptitude, and knowledge of basic technical concepts
  • Proficient with computer software packages and excel spreadsheets

Operations Manager

About this Position:

As IVS’s Operations Manager you will bring your leadership experience to effectively lead IVS’s audit, export inspection and certification as well as import biosecurity and vehicle inspection services. Your role would cover a range of responsibilities from leading teams with diverse backgrounds to financial and budget management. You would need to keep up to date and understand regulatory environments for Forestry and Biosecurity programs to ensure delivery meets expectations. An understanding of SOP’s and quality management systems is a crucial part to this role, working alongside the Technical and Compliance Manager to build and maintain key relationships with MPI, Customs and NZTA.

Ideal Person Specification [Education, Skills & Experience]:

  • Tertiary Qualification
  • Forestry Industry or Primary Industry experience
  • Proficient in quality systems and the audit process
  • Have an understanding of import/export requirements
  • Proven leadership experience
  • The ability to lead teams with diverse backgrounds, personalities, knowledge bases and skill sets
  • Experience building relationships and collaboration with customers working in a regulatory environment
